the person who i'm not actually related to that i've known the longest is my bff/cousin (he's a fake cousin), chris. yes, i just shouted out his name on my blog. he better get over it.

i'm not gonna lie - i've been a pretty terrible blogger this month. not only are my friends commenting on my lack of posts, but even i am starting to wonder what the hell is wrong with me.

the only thing i can say about my absence is:

* work...is kicking my butt.

* i'm trying to put some plans in place for myself.

* it's impossible to fit everything i want to do in 24 hours.

* sleep is no longer my friend...

* ...which makes me not get anything done.

but, i celebrated my birthday this month! since i didn't capture my very cute birthday outfit, i figured i would at least showcase my awesome gifts:

for my bday, my family pitched in and got me a gift certificate to apple so i could order an ipad for myself. holler. my dreams have come true.

so when i ordered my ipad tonight, i knew i needed to order an ipad case. so i started an online search and came across this awesome case from pad&quill:

while doing that, i also checked out this itouch case:

so, yea, i ordered both.

i could get all corny and cheesy and talk about all of the things she has done for me over my lifetime, but i won't. it's implied, right? but what you should know is that she is really the most amazing woman and very dear to my heart. happy birthday, mom.
