and here's a shot of me in the shorts i made for myself (no pattern used):

that pic does no justice for my handmade crocheted shorts...

so the story behind those shorts goes a little something like this:

me (on a tuesday): i wanna make some shorts to wear to the boo's bday party. but the online free patterns  are all corny.

my friends: i don't know how you're going to do that...

tuesday after work - i picked up yarn, started working. 

by friday, 4am - the shorts were done.

i was able to wear them for the boo's bday party at night.

and the rest is history.

D's catch up

here i am, catching up since it's been a few weeks. 

to recap:

the boo + me + his bff + his bff's gf = nyc santacon. i was dressed as an elf!

potluck dinner parties with coloring and a game named "celebrity" = way too much fun. and way too much food.

 new years 2011. (my hair was looking GOOD that night).

because i wanted to. and because finding a crocheted pattern for an aviator hat is kinda hard.

Crochet

loving anything knit/crocheted.

...and i will be working on some stuff for myself this winter season...

what have i been doing?

i'll tell you what i've been doing....

lots and lots and lots of creative stuff...aka--rotating between crocheting and drawing in my sketchbook for the art house.

and this week i am working on some decorations for my nephew's 2nd bday party this upcoming saturday. including these paper balls. i love anything made out of tissue paper.

when i'm not making stuff, i'm thinking of outfits to keep me warm. (i hate you, nyc!!!)

jacket - old navy, scarf - street vendor, shirt dress - f21, skirt - old navy, tights - h&m, shoes - payless, sweater - no name

more layers...but this is before it got really cold in nyc.

shrug, black dress/tank and tights - h&m, blue dress - aa, shoes - my sister gave them to me

that's really IT folks...i know...my life is so interesting....blahhhhhhh.

pom pom pom

i have a really crazy love for pom poms. i'm not quite sure WHERE this came from, but i just want to attach the crazy things to everything so i did a quick little google search....

wondering where this came from??

i spent my friday night working on a new design that i will debut soon at my etsy shop...
