my sorority sister needed some help throwing together an outfit for her bridal party in a few weeks.

after sending her 3 outfits, she decided on 2 really cute spring ones that she will look absolutely beautiful in. we figured out a way for her to rock the same shoes with both so she can make her decision when she gets them in the mail. i can't wait to see the pics!

luckily for me, she didn't pick this cute dress. i might need to purchase it...

unfortunately for her and i, the shoes are sold out. dammit.

my girl, jelo, was nice enough to give me a copy of the mixtape she made for the exchange. here i was, in the car, listening to her motown mix cd and loving every minute of it.

suddenly, the bf starts talking about this amazing song on the mix. once it came on, i was in love. considering we seem to always be in the car lately, i'll probably always think of him when i hear this song from now on.

"we're in college town!"

i spent last saturday night sober due to the insane amounts of work i needed to do on my headbands BUT at least i got to go out for a few hours with the ladies. 9th street and 2nd ave is definitely college town though...damn nyu students were packing all the bars. good thing i was out for a friend's bday, otherwise i would have bounced earlier than i did.

greatest part of the night was when a dude leaned in and tried a line from "the pick up artist." ummmm...i am the QUEEN of reality tv. leaning in while i'm texting and pulling a line like, "my boy was dumped via text today..." is not attractive once you've read "the game." sorry boys, but i've done my research.

outfit details: dress/shirt from my sister, purple leggings from payhalf, shoes are from my sister's closet, blazer is from abercrombie kids (haha) and the purse is from my mom.

i love that my mom and sister have such great style!
