4.19.11 diary

 a week ago, inspired by this post and this book, i became obsessed with the idea of keeping an illustrated diary. so far, i have created 5 entries (out of 7 days) and really love creating the pages. i look forward to seeing how each page develops and what will happen to this book in later weeks.

as an ode to the process, here i am illustrating my day.

(and, yes, i look crazy. i spent my whole day saving the planet by taking care of some trees. so this isn't a fashionable pic at all.)

and here's a shot of me in the shorts i made for myself (no pattern used):

that pic does no justice for my handmade crocheted shorts...

so the story behind those shorts goes a little something like this:

me (on a tuesday): i wanna make some shorts to wear to the boo's bday party. but the online free patterns  are all corny.

my friends: i don't know how you're going to do that...

tuesday after work - i picked up yarn, started working. 

by friday, 4am - the shorts were done.

i was able to wear them for the boo's bday party at night.

and the rest is history.

Crochet

loving anything knit/crocheted.

...and i will be working on some stuff for myself this winter season...
