my sister bought me an awesome red AA skirt so i decided to wear it today with all gray:

i completely cleaned my room so now i have a few more options for where i can take outfit pics :)

Last night I had time to flex my cooking skills by making the boo some chicken parm and salad for dinner. I received no help from him-his only requirement was to sit back, have a drink and tell me how his day was.

I had to snap a pic of the final product as proof that I actually made this meal. Tonight is the boo's turn...

The boo tried to snap a pic of my outfit the other night but it was a total fail. So this AM I thought I would snap a pic of just the dress because it is so pretty.

I'm looking forward to the weather going back to spring, even though allergies suck. I think I need to start taking my meds asap.

3.18.11 pattern

Attending a bday dinner tonight for a good friend of mine. So tonight I will be wearing a dress with this pattern. If I have time later, i'll make the boo snap a pic for me of the whole outfit.

trying to decide on a new format for stuff. especially since i haven't been blogging often lately.

my outfit yesterday:

i haven't really been shopping too much lately. hence my attempt to remix some older stuff that i've had forever. eh....i'm not too inspired by fashion these days.

i've decided to write up the only recipe i know! will be posting that later this week (maybe tomorrow?). hopefully with my new phone, i will be taking more pics and doing more blog posts. i hope.

d's shorts

Finally got around to posting the shorts I made for the boo's birthday back in january. I don't have a pattern for them since I made them as I went along but I can tell you this:

*there is actually an elastic waistband there.
*the main stitch is a fan-like stitch.
*the butt and front part were worked separately.
*side panels were done row-by-row on either side with a puff stitch.
*this took me 2 long evenings and probably a total of 10 hours.
*I'm super proud of these.

I would like to make a dress next but I need a reason to make one...Still thinking about how to do that anyway. I started something but right now there's only a shoulder piece.

Anyway, I might have a recipe for all of you later this week. I cooked a little something-something that I'm definitely proud of.

Btw-I'm blogging from my phone. I love my new phone.

my name is missDTM and i have a confession to make:

i am OBSESSED with my new phone. although it's taking a while for me to get used to my droid (and i keep making stupid mistakes on it), i absolutely, 100% love it. it's so smart. i love the google network. 

so, in honor of my phone, here's the android version of me:

AND! since i'm sharing my picture, i figured i would share my newest bio which i created. do you know how hard it is to write a personal but short bio for yourself? TOUGH! tougher than tough. it's the toughest thing i've had to do.

but, here it is:

Darcy and her dog, Dunkin Donut, share a love for cuddling, eating and sleeping. When Darcy is busy at work on her newest craft or art projects, Dunkin can be found sleeping in her crate or chewing on her favorite raw hides. Although Darcy was born and raised in the Bronx, they have both spent time in Brooklyn - Darcy while attending Pratt and Dunkin in a pet shop. On their free time, they both love to lay in the sun at the park with friends or compete for attention from Darcy’s boyfriend.

over the next few posts, i'll probably share some of the ramblings i created when i was working on my bio. but, for now, i am happy with my short little paragraph.
