is it a blazer or a sweater?

my sis gave me this awesome sweater blazer thing i wore today and i am completely IN LOVE with it. it's warm, comfy and just so cool.

my allergies must be kinda weird because i have been living in a fog for a week. hence, why i look so funny. lol.

the shoes make the outfit

what a beautifullllllllllllllllllllll day in the neighborhood (aka - NYC)! i wish i had time to spend outdoors during lunch today but, alas, it was not meant to be. tomorrow is supposed to be equally as beautiful so i will make sure to get some of that vitamin D.

cuff it up

i'm not sure why i say things like, "i'm giving up shopping for lent!" not only did i order so many things before making that promise to myself that i have stuff STILL coming to me via mail, but my sister gave me 5 pairs of shoes and a new skirt at her house today.

i've had an insane obsession with ear cuffs lately and i was happy when i snagged this one from the h&m by my job right before lent. i really want a large cuff for my upper ear but i'll have to wait and purchase that after easter. i guess that gives me time to find the perfect one...?

did you miss me?

i was doing so well blogging and then...well, i had one of those weeks where i worked a lot and was hardly home so i didn't blog. it's not an excuse, but real life kinda took over. i was excited to blog today until i realized that i wore my favorite work dress just slightly different so it wouldn't be worth a whole blog post. shrug.

instead, i thought i would blog about my spanking new ring and glasses. this pic is kinda weird but you get the point:

i decided to give up fried foods (bye bye french fries), hamburgers and shopping for lent so yesterday was supposed to be my splurge day. i had fries and a burger but i didn't really splurge...i bought a new earring/cuff thing, 2 rings and these glasses...and that was it. 

somehow/someway, i will get through 40 days of no shopping. i just have to keep repeating that to myself.

tomorrow marks the beginning of ny fashion week and i'm nervous. i will be attending a few fashion night out event's tomorrow, then the modcloth swapaholics event on friday, and my girl's fashion show on monday. what's a girl to wear?!? ekkkkkkkkkkkk!

oh--and have i forgotten to mention that i'm doing a modified raw food diet? that's right, you read that correctly. 3 days a week i am trying to stick to eating raw foods (breakfast can be whatever i want though). let's see how this goes...

second of the monthhhhhhhhh

received a ton of compliments about my dress today...and i was feeling good about my outfit except for the mixing of patterns. i wore it anyway to see if i liked it by the end of the day but i'm not sure i did.

 i also wore my spanking new camera necklace (from f21) and some girl on the train complimented me and then her friend actually touched my longer necklace. i wanted to be like, "WHAT!!!!" but she was kinda young so i had to let that go.
